To qualify for NSW nomination under the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) Significant Investor Visa 188 an applicant must:
• demonstrate that they have at least A$5 million in assets that are unencumbered and lawfully acquired and readily available for transfer to Australia;
• sign a declaration that he/she will invest at least A$5 million in complying investments including a minimum of A$1.5 million in NSW Waratah Bonds;
Queensland
To be eligible to apply for Queensland Government nomination, you must meet the DIBP eligibility requirements
• Demonstrate that your complying investment has a direct economic benefit to Queensland.
Victoria
Applicants must show that their complying investment choice will make a contribution to the Victorian economy-
• An investment of A$1.5 million or more into Victorian Government Bonds over a 4 year period, which can be partly or fully withdrawn after the first 12 months if then reinvested into an alternative complying investment; or
• An investment of A$1.5 million or more in a Victorian based proprietary company stating the contribution the business will make to the economy of Victoria; or
• An investment into a complying managed fund stating the contribution the fund will make to the economy of Victoria, such as the fund maintaining an office in Victoria, or the fund includes Victorian investments (in which case there is no minimum investment requirement or requirement that the fund manager maintains an office in Victoria); or
• A combination of the above, including where the investment is less than A$1.5 million, but satisfactory to the State.
