First, go to see Early childhood clinic nurse/lactation consultant to make sure you are feeding your baby in correct postion. You must get this right, as incorrect postion will hurt your RT and won't help you produce more milk.
Once get this right, then
1, Drink plenty fluide, water, milk, jucice, soup (not too oily). 3L / day.
2. Relax, most mum will have enough milk to feed the baby.
The more worried your are, the less milk you produce.
3. Have plenty of rest.
4. Let the baby such more often to increase amount. (try every 2 hours, or when ever the baby wants).
5. If you really want to top up, do the breastfeeding first left-right-left, or right-left-right, then give the baby formula.
I mixfeed my older one for 1 and half month and got more and more milk.
You can do it, believe youself! |
