ok. First of all, thank LZ to spend time to share the information.
I would like to share some of my knowledge about this air-fry pot.
1. What's difference between Oven and Air-fry pot?
This is very common question be asked by people. The answer is Air-fry pot is a normal oven with HUGE/FAST fan! That's right. The theory is to let high temperature wind go through all food quickly so the moisture of food skin layer will be gone and oil on the food skin will be cooked very quick while inside layer of food are in "low-temperature" status.
That's how the food looks like "Fried"!
2. Why are all air-fry pot so small?
You won't see a big air-fry pot on the market. Why? because bigger pot is, the big fan and speed of fan must be!
3. What's the advantage side of air-fry pot?
Urr... I think it's just like LZ said, cook chips and some small potion of food with less oil (if the food itself has oil).
4. What's disadvantage of air-fry pot?
1) Too expensive
Pot itself price is from $200-$400
2)Too small
Pot must maintain high speed fan and strong wind inside of pot. so... yeah, can't make it too big.
3) too loud
Oh, yeah, with high speed fan, it would be loud!
4) consuming too much power
so it's a oven with super fan, ready for paying power bill
5) Not health
Right, I don't need to explain this
so overall, cons > pros, for me, at least, but if you don't mind all those cons listed above, you might just give it go. :)
