Individual scholarship results are NOT available to parents.
Barker is pleased to offer the following Scholarships:
Year 7
Barker College Council Academic Scholarships - open to all candidates. These Scholarships offer up to 100% for Academic Tuition only, the amount awarded is at the discretion of the panel.
Barker College Council Evelyn Hill Scholarships for girls commencing in Year 7. One full 100% scholarship to a girl who shows outstanding academic potential.
Barker College Council Bowman Sisters Scholarships. Four full 100% scholarships will be awarded to girls entering Barker in Year 7 2020 to 2022. The recipients of these scholarships will be students who add life to the School and demonstrate this by their participation and attitude, the School's motto - Honor Non Honores (Honour Above Reward). All-round excellence would be the benchmark of these applications.
Barker College Sporting Scholarship - a scholarship for a student who shows excellence and future potential in their chosen sport and who can demonstrate that they will add to the life of the School by their participation and attitude.
Barker College Music Scholarships - open to candidates with a high level of instrumental competency. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in the cocurricular music program. The value of this scholarship can be between 50% - 100% for Academic Tuition and up to 100% Instrument Tuition.
E.W. Copeland Scholarship - available only to current Year 6 Barker Junior School students moving to Year 7 at Barker. This is a 50% Scholarship for Academic Tuition only. The students will sit an academic internal exam in November of their Year 6 school year, and then their progress during Year 6 will be assessed along with an application they have submitted by 31 October of Year 6 to the Enrolments Department. The selected candidates will be interviewed at the end of November when they are in Year 6. Please contact our Enrolments Department for further information. |
