Did I say all 1 million+ houses have quality issues?
My neighbour has quality issues but I didn't say all million dollar houses did I? You sure have English reading comprehension issues.
Yes, I do think the build quality of my crappy 500K house is better than his. Mine don't leak, don't discolour, the bricks are layered evenly and straight and don't' have a collapsed slab corner due to water drainage issues that require a trip to VCAT. Note I said build quality, nothing to do luxury of the build. They are 2 different things.
Why only foam? Being charged at this price range, they surely can afford steel beam and then bricks. Or at least Hardiplank.

I also never said all new houses need major work after 20 years but definitely a lot more than what was built a couple of decades ago. I still remember the whole slab heave fiasco that is still ongoing. Metricon isn’t the only culprit.
If you think houses would last, why all new houses have only 7 years structural warranty except for Burbank?
Do you honestly think foam with rendering will last 20 years without needing re-rendering? And that is not considered a major maintenance item?
