I was looking for a low power large objective scope and this is the closest thing I found. I use it for wild animal watching like in a cruise in Antarctica and other places. Its fairly easy to quickly spot a whale or a wondering albatross with the 25mm objective and switch to the 100mm. The higuest magnification I usually use is 36x as I like detail and good resolution. I wish the levels of magnification would not be more than 16x-60x in order to have better resolution at lower magnification. Another wish would be to increase the size of the 25mm to 35 or so.
There isn't any other product like it in the market as it is very light due to mirrors instead of lenses.
I use it on top of a monopod instead of tripod for easy movement and air transportation as the tripods are heavy and bulky.

When I came across this Yukon 6-100x scope I thought the concept was great. After doing some research and finding some strong magazine reveiws I went ahead a got it. When I first pulled it out of the box I saw it came in a soft case that can be used while looking through the scope. It also has a good strap to carrying.

With the scope in my hands I first saw that there is an extendable sunshade on the end that cant be seen from the picture. The scope is very light, especially for its size not to mention a fairly different looking housing. The glass looks good and has two objective lenses. Switching between the two is easy with the knob on the side. On the top there is a dial too which tells you the magnification you are at. The eyepiece rotates 360 degrees and has a good eyepeice focus on it. As far as clarity, the scope is very good. Obviously the image quality is better at the lower powers but the high power is quite good as well. Even at over a 90 magnification. I haven't seen anything else that has the range of this scope, I don't know why other companies aren't doing this. It seems good for most needs even astronomy but mine will be parked at a window at my house.

This was an intresting scope so just a little food for thought. I liked it.

I first saw this scope at the our local International Migratory Birding event. (For those who don't know about this, it takes place every second Saturday in May. It celebrates the return migration of our native birds across the country. An excellent event, look for your local gathering.) The scope looked quite different from conventional spotting scopes. This was because it isn't conventional. The magnification range goes from 6 to 100. This range is almost outrageous but it really works. The dial on the top is nice. It gives you a constant readout as to what magnification you are at. The rotating eyepiece is an excellent idea for this scope. Two can use it at the same time by just passing it back and forth. Something important when choosing a scope, especially for birding, is magnification and weight. The 100x scope is very light. I have no problems carrying this into the woods or on a hike. I wish it came with a hardcase but the soft case that is included is nice and is actaully functional.

If you are looking for a scope within this price range, seriously consider this one.

Great optics for the price. Portable and easy to mount on a tripod. Zoom and focus are smooth and images are crisp nearly to the end of the zoom range. Actually could see the shock wave during bullet flight on long-range targets. Viewing animals, landscapes and celestial bodies is impressive. We even shot great images of the eclipse with appropriate filters and a smartphone mount.

My only complaint is that it is not very well balanced on the tripod. The weight is toward the eyepiece and is difficult to get the image to stay put with an every day tripod. The mounting foot is too far forward. To really enjoy this, spend the money on a really good tripod.

(65mm version) Nice, clear optics. This is an easy-to-use scope with all the features you need for hunting. The focus and zoom adjustments are quick and accurate. What's not mentioned in the description is the body rotation that allows you to rotate the eyepiece to the left or right with the twist of a knob. This allows you to adjust your glassing area without moving your body.

The optics are good and clear at all but the upper end of the zoom. The highest zoom levels are functional and meet my needs, but don't expect the same results as $1k optics. The eye relief is very comfortable at all levels, as long as you adjust the eye cup as you go. I've glassed for hours at a time with no fatigue.

Attach this to a decent tripod and you'll be set.

First impressions

When you first lay your eyes on the Endeavor HD it looks like a quality scope. Its compact size, sleek lines and solid build make for a scope that gives an excellent all-round first impression....


Optical Performance

Unsurprisingly the Endeavor HD 65A shares its key optical characteristics with its big brother the 85A. It sports the same ED glass in the objective lens elements to minimise chromatic aberration (colour fringing), the same phase-corrected prisms and the same suite of proprietary Vanguard coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.

The result: a very bright, sharp image with excellent colour and detail throughout the lower two thirds of the zoom range. Some softening is evident towards the edge of the fairly wide field of view (48-23m / 1000m)… but nothing beyond what you’d expect in a scope at this price point. All in all it’s a capable scope that performs very well from 15x to about 35x.

As you crank the zoom beyond 35x the story changes. Edges become fuzzier, and noticeably darker. Resolution drops off markedly, and you have to hunt for focus, even with the fine-focus knob. It’s just about usable, at a push, in good light, but you’d be hard pressed to pick out fine plumage detail at 45x for a distant ID.

To be fair to Vanguard here I’d like to point out that it’s a trait common to most zoom eyepieces. Very few zooms maintain performance at higher zoom levels (of those I’ve tried only the expensive high end Swarovski and Meopta wide angle zoom eyepieces, and the astonishingly capable eyepiece that comes with the Olivon T650 spotting scope, manage to achieve it). I’d love to try this scope with a fixed 25x or 30x wide angle eyepiece, but alas Vanguard don’t make one. Something to perhaps consider as an option in the future, as I feel it would make for a more compelling birding and wildlife-watching combination.

For most birding and wildlife watching scenarios the lower 15x-35x zoom range is ideal, so in practice there’s little need to crank things up beyond that.....

来看看Yukon是什么玩意 3.1星，销量低星更低。 别告诉我其它商家在卖这个的时候加了个点缀词 "高级" 就不是同一个产品，Yukon家官方压根就只有这么一个东西。

怎么不是同型号呢？官方只有这一个，你画出来的那个只是不同颜色。

我可以猜测之所以有商家加了个点缀词"advanced" 就是因为原来那个3.1分已经烂透顶了，连素质不高玩枪的Redneck们都不满意了，只能想办法弄一个新title的并且找人Bump up 7个review这样一来可以躲过亚马逊的旧Review.

The company Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide was founded in 1998 on the basis of two private enterprises – a manufacturing one in the Republic of Belarus, which was producing spotting scopes since 1991, and a trading optical one located in Texas, USA. The product line of the company included day optical devices (spotting scopes and binoculars).  

In 1999, as the range of day optics grew, the company started to manufacture first night vision devices. Just two years later, in 2001, the first night vision riflescope – the NVRS – was launched.  

In 2003 the development of digital devices – Ranger 5x42 and Ranger Pro 5x42 was initiated.  

In 2005 company’s share on the international market of Gen. 1 NV devices reached 70%.  

In 2006-2008 featured a significant expansion of the product range of optical devices, including digital, and building of a wide line of night vision devices and riflescopes that formed the basis of a new trademark – Pulsar.  

In the following years the company introduced a number of new directions, among them digital night vision riflescopes (2009), laser rangefinders, daylight optical sights (2010), thermal imagers (2011), night lens clip-on attachments (2012), night vision riflescopes with built-in rangefinders (2013), thermal imaging riflescopes (2014) and clip-on attachments (2015).

我上面说民用光学产品， 你跟我说军械？  就算老毛子军械牛B请问，它跟你那个产品有半毛关系？  还有毛子的光学是从德国全套搬过来是几几年的事情啦？  那时候中国还没解放吧，那年头的光学技术到现在还能用？ 都9102年了哎。

望远镜，枪瞄不是军械？二战前的徕卡镜头到今天都是精品，至今被人家接在数码相机上用；毛子从德国掳走的不是镜头，而是整个设计生产工艺乃至于设备。

二战前的徕卡镜头到今天已经根本不能看了，甚至90年代的徕卡和现在的徕卡都有巨大的差距。 毛子从德国掳走的只是设备，和制造工艺，但是光学方面人才全跑去了西德， 只能吃老底子到了80年代就不行了。

说起蔡司也是一样，蔡司90年代的Contax 50/1.4 Planar 准镜头和今天索尼上的蔡司 FE 50/1.4比Planar比差距也是不小, 虽然都是Planar结构，但是新头用了各种名贵玻璃组什么AA非球面ED玻璃啥都有，画质分辨率就是强了很多。

这种镜子更适合拿手机或相机对着目镜拍哈。装单电单反相机可以买个T口转接环。

渣一样的望远镜转微单的成像你能接受？拍照片还是老老实实用相机镜头，哪怕接个老式的手动折返镜头，都远超这种望远镜+微单的效果。只有天文没办法，因为没有那么高倍数的相机镜头。

感觉要变成镜头贴，我有几只比我年纪大的东德蔡司CZJ，别说萤石镜片了，连镀膜都没有，好多霉点，不过用M42转接以后还挺有味道，话说现在好点的中长焦几乎都是萤石镜片啊，低端的也都用的是人工合成的低色散玻璃，佳能基本是这样，成像的差别肉眼可见啊。
