是日，雨。很闲。
小盘友转眼三岁半了，今天进他的房间，见他床头多了一张挂图，The phonetic alphabet语音字母表。
触目惊心呀。
第一个字母A，字母下是图示，看不明白，再下面的单词：abalone。WOW,鲍鱼，懂，第一年来澳洲回国指定礼品，为这词下过苦夫。以后虽因囊中羞涩把这俗礼免了，但这词倒没忘。然后继续看下去，那节奏就是，懂，不懂，不懂，懂，不懂，不懂，懂，不懂，不懂，五年了，五年这英文水平也就酱紫了。
不知还有多少老爸老妈还在暗中努力，又有多少老爸老妈已悄然放弃。
近一年，老爸老妈版的英文学习文字见少，看是一个高潮已过，不过，随着移民局开闸，很快又会高潮迭起。前潮退后，汇同新潮再涨起来。
俺的水平总也徘徊在食之无味，弃之很可惜的地步。学也照学，忘也照忘。不忘初心，要独立于世界民族之林。坚持。
或许害羞又或者觉得这三句半的水平没什么讲头，几乎没怎么说过英语。就连准备了很久的英文台词，对方也许因听着累，干脆就用俺的语言对话了。
pardon开始，sorry结束的突发性会话结构不知何时能改变。

International Mother Language Day is celebrated every year on 21st February. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to promote the awareness of language and cultural diversity all across the world. It was first announced by UNESCO on November 17, 1999.

On 12 February 2018，Australian Federal Parliament has passed a legislation to celebrate 21 February as an international Mother language day officially.

下雨天是读书，继续看看外来物种。
上次行山拍下这个牌子：

1080  
1080 poison(sodium fluoroacetate: 氟乙酸钠)
fox poison 狐狸药（相当老鼠药一类了）
注意牌子里的几个词：affected 受影响（就是可能会累及无辜）
                                    lethal 致命的，致死的
                                    ejection device 机关（反正就是下套之类的吧，不敢去了解）

这次的危害是一对的：Red Foxes: 红狐  与   European rabbits 欧洲兔子
  
前者没见过，后者随处可见，还很会扮可爱的。现今，是否杀尽前者，后者称大了？

历史长河：
Red Foxes were introduced to the British colonies of Van Diemen's Land (as early as 1833) and the Port Phillip District and Sydney Regions of New South Wales (as early as 1845) for the purpose of the traditional English sport of fox hunting.
1833年因游戏需要引入范迪门，7845至悉尼。玩绅士的，打猎。
Rabbits were introduced to Australia by the First Fleet in 1788.[2] They were bred as food animals, probably in cages.
兔子则是随第一舰队于1788来到澳洲。命运是肉食品。
The spread of red foxes across the southern part of the continent has coincided with the spread of rabbits in Australia, another invasive species also introduced in the 19th century that is a key prey of the red fox.
红狐开始流窜澳洲南部时适逢兔子也开始流窜各地。开始了狐狸追兔子，人追狐狸的游戏，玩大了。流毒至今。

红狐有什么利害，估计等同非洲狮子，an apex predator 食物链终端。就是，通吃。
至于兔子，种草种菜养花的就知道这可爱的小动物有多利害了。它们牙口的利害远远超出俺的想象力。

以前看过一篇文章，说澳洲的狐狸是被列入有害的物种，曾经被严格控制数量，效果不错，狐狸数量减少后，有些地区就不在对进行减员政策，随着时间的推移，狐狸队伍又逐渐壮大起来，好几个区的居民都向council反映，在居民区发现了狐狸的踪迹，而且狐狸猎杀了家禽，呼吁政府重新考虑要消灭一定数量的狐狸，印象中一些国家深林公园重新启动的数量控制。

哈哈哈。。。“突突”用的很形象。
不过一突突我就联想到了机关枪扫射，空中扫射？应该还不致于吧，我猜这个空中射杀应该是点射的，也许是有选择的射杀，当然不一定对。

写得真好，尤其是学英语的心态。
的确如此，学英语食之无味弃之可惜，好像总是原地打转。

Go into any Australian church on a Sunday and you will find a seat. If you're lucky, the church will be half-full.
An argument could be made that this is a reflection of a cynical and godless age. But an argument could also be made that the market just isn't buying what the church is selling because it's an unattractive message.

The first case, dubbed 'the cathedral trial', related to when he was archbishop of Melbourne in the 1990s.
The second trial, referred to as 'the swimmers trial', would deal with allegations Pell had indecently assaulted two boys in a swimming pool when he was a priest in Ballarat in the 1970s.

从温莎小镇回来后，某日，朋友问俺有否去温莎博物馆，俺说，忘了。他说，如此重要的地方岂容错过，然后拿出手机，给俺展示了一张长着双翅的兔子，做成标本的兔子栩栩如生，大有呼之欲飞之势。俺大吃一惊，错过此物，岂不温莎白走一遭？
晚上，挑灯百度，看此物是否俺国传说中的玉兔在温莎下凡。
结果，如题。
80年代，温莎人民为吸引游人的造神工程，用心良苦。

静物与石头和汽车（谷歌翻译）
坐车经过这件艺术品有三二次吧，前天，第一次步行经过它，但它安放在马路中央的环岛上，不敢冒生命之险走近去看。
这件雕塑于2006永久安置在沃尔什湾WALSH BAY。背景是一绝壁式的墙，车上的石头(2T)似是从绝壁上滚下。当时车内有人的话，绝无生还之理。
