公校，天主教学校跟私校有什么实质上的不同嘛？

如果只是每年多交几万块钱的区别, 那私校就是最赚钱的生意了.
炫耀不炫耀是自身条件界定的, 例如有人愿意住五星宾馆, 有人认为没窗户的招待所就可以了.

你自己心里都想好上哪个了 还上来问干嘛 你都觉得私校是炫耀的地方，但是你要记住 谁也不是傻子 一年好几万 就图个炫耀

There are two main education sectors within each State – Government schools and Non-Government schools. Non-Government schools are classified as either Catholic schools or Independent schools. Most Independent schools have a religious affiliation, but some are non-denominational. All Government schools are non-denominational

The primary difference between private and public schools is their source of funding. Private schools usually charge tuition for each student. Private schools do not receive government funding, therefore they rely solely on tuition cost to support their school.

Curriculum

At Primary school level there is an emphasis on English reading and writing, mathematics and the Study of Society and the Environment (SOSE). Students usually also have music, sport, drama, computer studies, science, art, and learn a language (LOTE). Often there are many extra curricular activities offered outside of class time, such as choir, orchestra, chess or sport.

In the early Secondary years students continue to study English and Mathematics and other core subjects. As they progress through their Secondary years, students must study English, but can start to select which other subjects they study and they begin to specialise in certain areas of learning. Again there are many extra curricular activities on offer, such as debating, school musicals or sports competitions.


帮LZ google了一下。私校和天主教学校都靠家长拿钱，没有政府拨款，可以提供丰富的活动让孩子有多方面发展的机会。公校全面依靠政府资助。但不要小看天主教学校，天主教很有钱。

私校就是有钱人为了显摆， 没钱人为了虚荣，而多出几万。
明显是犯傻， 楼主完全不需要去。

私校也有政府拨款的，而且拨款数比公校还多。所以为什么每年政府政策修正都会提出对私校的拨款？有些私校的政府拨款是公校的4-5倍

从myschool上看，一年几万块的私校费用基本都是用来学校建设和维护还有扩展，羊毛出在羊身上，如果能找到不是很贵的家长不用贴很多钱的私校，同时学校也有丰富的活动提供给学生，应该是比较理想的选择。

那教了很贵的学费上私校的家长更应该多看看学校的财务汇报，至少在myschool是看得到的政府拨款自筹资金的比例。如果收了政府很多钱又向家长收了很多费用，那钱都怎么花了。

公立和大部分私立学校（e.g. grammer）： public school， 有政府资金资助，公立免费，私立很贵
教会学校（catholic, islamic）：private school，学费比私立便宜，但是可能有宗教信仰要求

虽然我也没送私校，但不知道为什么总有人觉得有钱人都是傻子。

如果你家十分富裕，那么应该读私校，因为这点儿学费不是这些家庭的负担和重要考量。

如果你家很穷，自然也不需要读私校，让孩子提前明白，自己的前途要自己去闯，父母能帮得有限，未必是坏事。

如果你家里经济情况中等，那么你的选择就比较纠结了，因为钱就那么多，一年三万块钱如何使出家庭利益最大化，这是很复杂的事情。

有些人没多少钱也不仔细做功课但坚定地要凑热闹哪里贵就上哪，是不是傻子就难说了。

我是指那个层主说私校家长要多检查学校财务，不就是觉得私校家长都人傻钱多吗

就是因为有很多认为有钱人不傻啊，包括我在内。

问题就是，很多人总以为有钱人就是傻子，就是炫耀，呵呵。

不一样， 独立私校很少宗教理论，基本也是一周一次说两句。而且不强制。 教会学校要求多很多。 ...

独立私校是每周都有一定时间的宗教课，还定期带学生去教堂。证明你孩子从没上过独立私校。

其实楼主说的也有点道理。

知道政府每年给每一个公校学生的拨款是多少么？10年前就已经１万多。政府给一些私校的拨款是公校的4-5倍，每人每年７，８万？政府给得起吗？

具体拨款多少不知道，但是一间私校的学生不到一间公校的一半。3年级前，一般私校只有2个班，公校有些去到了8个班。

简而言之， 就是州政府负责拨款公校， 不管私校， 而联邦政府对于私校的拨款是大于对公校的拨款的。

所有公校都属于州政府。州政府负责公校日常运作。拨款主要是按人头，而不是按学校给的。联邦政府的拨款是按项目批的。不是每年每个学校都有的。不能用于日常运作。另外，除了补习学校，所有私校基本上都是非赢利机构。学校的所有赢利只能用到学生身上。

再说，政府支持私校无非就是为了减少教育经费开支。如果给私校的拨款更多，还不如将私校的拨款用于公校。

Balwyn high 是公校里的翘楚，好比市重点，师资力量不会弱；Luther college 是不错的教会学校，好比民办学校；PLC是比较平民的贵族私校，好比引进先进教育理念的国际学校，里面老师的收入也丰厚，不卖力怎行？
