there's an analysis abt pay of female and male workers in AUS, including those top executives and senior managers.
generally, females pay are far less then their male colleagues, even they hold the same positions in the same/comparable companies.
the society identify this as discrimination and a lot of people are fighting/advocating female rights to get equal pay.
originally, 30, 20 yrs ago, would we think this as discrimination? probably not! still, a lot of ppl do not think this is discrimination! but it is defined as a type of discrimination!
according to some ppl here, this is not discrimination at all! so if it is not, what females do? according to some ppl here, females hv to improve themselves? so if even they r top talents? the best of the best among their peers? still no hope? do they need to hv operations to become men? oh, some ppl may argue, if they are the top cream, they will get paid well - get me a break!
the biggest and most successful discrimination is: making things systematic and a tradition to force people dare not to think twice and agree with you think they've got to follow it as a game rule!
to some people here, i hv to say, u understand nothing abt fair go and equal rights, you are just mimicing the face value, just thinking you can get it right - migrants hv to improve their english - just thinking in a typical CHINKIE way?!
to some ppl here who hv been in Australia long enough: i m really surprised that you could hold ur view like that!
