Saltwater Coast caters for growing educational needs in the City of Wyndham
Saltwater Coast, located in Point Cook, is addressing the growing demand for early education facilities in the City of Wyndham by announcing a second primary school planned for the premium coastal community. This new primary school is due to open at the end of 2014 and will accommodate up to 350 children.
The Roman Catholic Trusts Corporation for the Diocese of Melbourne purchased the site for the second primary school adjacent to the previously announced public primary school planned by the Department of Education. Together the two schools will create an educational focal point in the area for families with young children.
Point Cook is proving to be a popular location for young families within Wyndham, Australia’s fastest growing municipality. Recent research has shown that more than half of homebuyers in Point Cook were between 25 and 34 years of age and family homes are the strongest sellers.*
Evian Delfabbro, FKP’s Executive General Manager of Developments NSW and Victoria said the addition of a second primary school will provide the growing community with more access to educational services.
“Proximity to education and facilities for children is a priority for homebuyers in Point Cook which is not surprising given a large percentage of our buyers have children of primary and pre-school age,” said Ms Delfabbro.
Ms Delfabbro explained that Saltwater Coast provides a family friendly environment with the latest sporting facilities, expansive parklands and playgrounds, which the two primary schools will benefit from.
“Both schools will have access to the extensive local sporting facilities and are situated in a convenient location close to amenities,” said Ms Delfabbro.
Located only 20 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, Saltwater Coast will set a new benchmark for Point Cook, boasting sporting and recreation facilities, neighbourhood shopping centre, two primary schools, lifestyle centre and 50 hectares of open space, wetlands and parklands.
The Saltwater Coast Lifestyle Centre opened in February 2012 offers residents a state-of-the-art gymnasium, indoor heated 25 metre lap pool, outdoor resort pool, children’s pool, two tennis courts, barbeques, café and a 100-seat function room with city skyline views.
Each home at Saltwater Coast will be located within 400 metres of a park with design guidelines in place to ensure that each home reflects a contemporary and quality architectural outcome.
