刚在shooting.com.au看到这篇文章,他从美国入口了两把不锈钢的DE,其中一把还是镀金的,在澳洲市场的单价要$2.3K左右一把。大概的流程和费用都列出来了,有兴趣的可以考虑一下。
Hi the pistols were $1650 each. Extra mags around the $75 mark each.
I wont go through the entire process of what is required but here is a bit of what happens.
You have to find an exporter in the USA and apply for permits etc from them. Some paperwork this end has to be posted to them as they need the originals. It seems some exporters are better than others and their fees and charges vary. There is also paperwork this end to be completed.
The company I used were not the cheapest but they responded to emails within 12 hours every time and were very professional.
The Obama fee (as it is known) used to be $50 but seeings the place has no money Obama raised the fee to $250.
That $250 fee is for the licence to export. It doesnt matter if you have one firearm or two hundred, its still the one off $250 fee. Before you get to that stage you need to know exactly how many firearms you are going to import and their serial numbers etc., Once the licence is issued, only the firearms listed on it can be sent. So if you decide to buy something else at the last minute and its not on the list then it stays in USA.
The exporter in USA charged $250, plus 5% of the total amount, plus the Obama fee ($250). There was several forms the exporter has to send back and forward to the US Govt so I spose he makes easy money. Plus the exporter can store your firearms in his vault at no charge when the paper trail begins. The postage fee was $400 (10kg and all insured).
Then once the firearms make it to Australia there is several little fees and charges for handling and ticking the boxes on the right form etc. Then customs seize the firearms for testing and hang onto them.
I had to get a freight forwarder here who only charged $160 but there was a few fees etc that had to be paid. YOu pay the freight forwarder all the relevant fees and taxes and charges. I had to pay 10% GST on the value of the items. Had to also pay 5% extra duty on handguns (rifles dont have this fee).
So all up the fees both ends, postage, insurance, and anything else I forgot to mention was $1500.
It is partly right that the more firearms you have the cheaper it is. The Obama fee doesnt change but postage would cost more, the exporters fees would be higher, and you still would be up for GST's etc this end. I did have a couple of mates that were going to also buy a firearm but the licence can only be issued in one name. So I would have to register them all in my name then on paper sell them to the others that went in...
I bought 3 firearms so it cost me $500 per gun extra. I had the cost of the magazines incorporated into the price of the firearms so I wasnt up for extra fees on the magazines.
Am I way in front doing it this way?? Bloody Oath
The Satin Nickel Deagle with 5 matching satin nickel magazines new from the importer in Qld would have cost a fortune.
Plus, Deagles are now made in the USA and stamped "MADE IN USA" and I wanted Deagles that were Stamped "made in Israel"..
