Bentleigh这个价,不值得买,这是个很普通的区,没有什么reputation.

MELBOURNE'S most liveable suburb is Bentleigh East, a special Herald Sun panel has decided. It was judged the best suburb from a field of 50.
Bentleigh East was chosen for its good transport links, easy access to shopping, good schools and abundant health and recreational facilities.
City of Glen Eira Mayor Cr Steven Tang said it was a suburb for everyone.
"It's very popular with young families," he said.
Bentleigh East was among 50 suburbs selected by demographer Bernard Salt to vie for most liveable suburb.
Criteria included affordability, diversity, jobless rate and crime. Many so-called "elite" suburbs were culled at the outset because they simply cost too much, Mr Salt said.
The suburbs were profiled in the Herald Sun this week and a judging panel chose the winner from a top 10 list compiled by Mr Salt.
Panellists were Herald Sun editor-in-chief Bruce Guthrie, Channel 7 newsreader Peter Mitchell, 3AW presenter and Herald Sun columnist Neil Mitchell and Committee for Melbourne CEO Sally Capp.
Neil Mitchell said Bentleigh East was his top choice because of its parks, train stations, low unemployment and strong sense of community.
"It is most impressive on crime, which perhaps reasserts the community strength," he said.
Mitchell also rated Macleod, Watsonia and Oakleigh South highly.
Ms Capp said Bentleigh East scored very well on access to hospitals, education, recreation and shopping. Her next best suburbs were Oakleigh South, Keilor East and Box Hill North.
Peter Mitchell's top pick was Box Hill North, from Bentleigh East and Vermont.
Bentleigh East, 17km southeast of the city, has several schools and a vibrant shopping strip on Centre Rd.
Mr Guthrie said the paper's two-week celebration of Melbourne's suburbs recognised "that the city doesn't end at Spring St or Spencer St".
"Most Melbourne people live in suburbs that have their own heartbeat and their own culture, quite distinct from the lives lived by inner-urban elites. We should never forget that."
Christina Miesen, who has a daughter, Anna, 4, said she loved Bentleigh East.
"We feel safe. The parks are fine, the schools are good, I'm happy with the kinder," she said. "It's got good libraries, the shops are good and we're close to Chadstone." |
