我记得以前有一次想请一个陌生local给自己排毕业照，一般来说都是问can you....? 但是那次突然厌烦这种表达方式了，于是就换一个would you mind...? 自认为差不多的意思吧。

结果很明显地注意到那位local听到would you mind就神色紧张了一下好像自己做错了什么事，然后听到后句是taking a photo，就放松了。于是我意识到可能would you mind用得不妥。

我个人很不喜欢那种明明no硬说成yes形式的表达方式，但是我喜欢那种挑明真正含义又不伤和气的，比如说it is not a criticism but...，我房东很喜欢用这个，每次她说这句时，都是给我一些逆耳忠言，让我感觉不是put me down，而是鼓励我做得更好的意思。

呵呵。这个最经典了。

一次我们英国同事第一次去中国一城市出差回来，我还兴奋地问他觉得怎么样？他回我那个城市他觉得 “it's very interesting。“
我顿时有点噎住了，不知道再说什么了。呵呵。
