Business Finance Controller
As business partner to the Sales Account Director, the Business Finance Controller will be responsible for the end to end financial management of the Key Account (Business Unit). Responsibilities include:
•Providing strategic input into the annual budget and planning processes.
•Ownership of the monthly rolling-forecast process.
•Presentation of the monthly Key Account finance Meeting.
•Sales pipeline reporting.
•Analysing variances to forecast, identifying root-causes, proposing solutions to address gaps, and assigning actions to team members.
•Management of Key Account AR through on-time and effective communication with customers, driving cash collections, solving long term overdue AR, improving working capital efficiency.
•Supervision of Project financial status including revenue, costs, margin and cash-flow.
Key finance role in the Pre-sales ‘Lead to Contract (LTC) process. Responsibilities include:
•Coordination of pre-sales project estimation including construction of project P&L, providing financial appraisal and risk assessment, and supporting the CFO in decision making.
•Financial clause design including negotiation with customer during the contract process.
•Development of financing solutions and special business models.
•Coordinate finance review of new contracts providing suggestions to improve.
•Liaise with financial accounting team to develop project accounting rules.
•Participate in project budgeting appraisal ensuring reasonableness of assumptions, that any variances vs. project estimation are addressed and assisting PFC with project planning.
Input into the strategic direction of the Account by developing a deep understanding of the customer, Key tasks include:
•Ongoing analysis of customer financial reports and media articles to understand customer business model, financial situation, pain points and key objectives.
•Identification of opportunities to address customer needs and improve trading strategy.
•Monitoring of customer financial status including early identification of credit / trading risks.
•Responsible for establishing / maintaining relationship with key finance staff of the customer.
Management of the internal control process within the key account including:
•Monitoring the control environment, identifying and taking action to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with company policy.
•Interface with internal and external auditors as and when required.
The successful candidate must be a commercially-minded Finance professional with the following qualification and attributes:
•CPA/CA Qualified or undergraduate degree in and accounting or finance discipline.
•Minimum 5 years working experience as commercial analyst or equivalent position.
•Previous experience in the ICT industry is preferred, particularly experience with distributers and/or resellers and/or system integrators
•Experience working closely with business and sales teams
•Previous experience in dealing with contracts is highly regarded.
•Experience managing a P&L for product/division
•Budgeting/forecasting/reporting/Analysisis preferred.
•Good communication skills.
