Habitable room means a room used for normal domestic activities, and—

那还是磨砂玻璃好， 这个window screen 有点“ 铁门啊， 铁窗啊， 铁锁链。。。。” 的感觉。

磨砂玻璃那一块啥都看不到，采光也许磨砂玻璃好，但这个通过缝隙还是能看到点东西吧

那建房的人把自己窗户遮住了，那邻居要不要遮自己的窗户啊？不然凭啥只有建房的人遮。。隐私啥的难道不是双方面的吗？ 还是说，先到先得，后来的人负责遮窗户？。。。

那你可以不建啊，一般是二楼才有这个问题

for existing single level house (original post's house), when we draw a 9m (45 degree down) overlooking diagram,if it hits neighbor's private open space (POS) ground,  then council would request additional trellis on existing fence to block the view.
for double story,apart from ground floor restriction,  we also need to make sure no overlooking from first floor habitable window hits neighbor's POS or habitable windows.
so all houses need to comply res-code, not first in, best dressed. hope this helps

Thank you. Regardless kitchen is considered non habitable when assessing the overlooking and over shadowing.

楼梯上的窗很高,应该没有overlooking issue. 厕所的应该是磨砂的
