Methodist Ladies' College is celebrating its annual haul of impressive results.

Seventeen of their Year 12 students achieved perfect study scores of 50 in 19 subjects: Accounting (1), Biology (2), Chemistry (2), English (2), Geography (1), Health and Human Development (1), Further Mathematics (5), Mathematical Methods (1), Specialist Mathematics (1), Media Studies (1), Physical Education (1) and Sports and Recreation (1).

The school's dux, Sally Ng, achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95.

Twenty four per cent  of MLC's VCE and VCE VET students were in the top five per cent of the state with an ATAR of 95 or above, and 40 per cent were in the top 10 per cent of the state with an ATAR of 90 or above. The College's median ATAR is 86.9.

So you scored 50-plus. Based on the scores needed for courses in 2015, the more storied institutions are probably out of reach, but there's a wealth of choice still at Deakin, LaTrobe and ACU, like criminology (Deakin, Geelong, 60), exercise and sport science (ACU, 58.5), marketing (Victoria University, 58.1),  or commerce at Deakin's Warrnambool campus (53.25).

A straight 50.00 would have got you into LaTrobe arts. Or - left-field options: marine biology at Deakin's Warrnambool campus (50.25), music industry at Victoria Uni (50.65), or nursing at LaTrobe, if you're up for moving to the Shepparton campus (52.05)

All 35 students who achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95 have been offered scholarships worth $70,000 each to study at Monash University.

A further 484 students with ATARs over 98 received a scholarship offer from the university today.

Results now from Ivanhoe Grammar:

21 per cent got an ATAR of 95-plus and 35 per cent got 90-plus. Student Lucas Yong achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95.

28 per cent achieved ATARs above 95
53 per cent achieved ATARS above 90

Results now from Ballarat Clarendon College:
Median ATAR of 89.5
48 per cent of the cohort got above 90

Twenty four Haileybury students have achieved perfect study scores of 50.

It's a huge school, so we're not sure of the raw numbers, but according to their press release, 29 per cent of study scores at Haileybury Girls College and 26 per cent of study scores at Haileybury College (for boys) were over 40.

Frankston High School is proud to announce their best ever VCE results.  The highest ATAR and DUX, 3 students with perfect study scores of 50 in Physics, Media Studies and Legal Studies.  There were 149 study scores of 40 or above, placing these students in the top 8% of students in the state.

Congratulations are in order at Ringwood Secondary College, where 16 per cent of students received an ATAR over 90. The dux of the state school, Jiao Mei He, received an impressive ATAR of 99.9. Nine per cent of study scores were 40 or above. Principal Michael Phillips said the results were particularly impressive because the school welcomed all students.

"There are also kids that have struggled with personal issues and their ATARs of 60 are just as sensational. Most will be able to access a course of choice."

Melbourne University sent out a message at About 10am today to the state's highest scoring students - those who woke to a score of 99.9 or above.

The uni is offering them an annual stipend of up to $10,000 if they choose one of its courses.
Media have assembled at Melbourne's campus to see just who will answer the lucrative call.

Melbourne Girls' College is delighted by its results. The Richmond school's dux received 99.8 and another student scored 99.05.  

More than half its students received an ATAR above 80 and 28 per cent achieved ATARs in the 90s. 15 per cent of its study scores were 40 or above.

"The ATAR isn't the be-all and end-all," principal Karen Money says. "I'm really happy for the students because it means they have so many more choices."
