不明白楼上这位为啥这么执着25还是26？还来个数列？这篇文章写着and in 1996 it took the mantle of the state’s top school off Sydney Grammar.那标题25年就没错，如果作者写错了，JR1995年就第一了，那就是26年。没啥争议吧？

It is about its history, not Math.
When google search for JR, some say
a. James Ruse has finished first in the HSC rankings since 1995, when it took the crown from Sydney Grammar
b. and in 1996 it took the mantle of the state’s top school off Sydney Grammar
c. The school is especially noted for its academic excellence, ranking first out of all New South Wales high schools in 2020 for the 30th consecutive year since 1991

Which one is true?

从来都是牛娃成就牛校，而不是牛校成就牛娃。
智商卓越且自驱自觉+补习班给力+父母跟进，是牛娃形成的基本要素，跟公校私校的课堂教育没多少关系。

f. Highest percentage of students appeared in international Olympiad competitions on science subjects.
g. Agricultural school and school with person name instead of place name.
h. High percentage of students are early bread winner as personal tutor/employed tutor & marker.
In my kid's case, it was as early as Year 9 as personal tutor.

i. Highest percentage of graduated students studying medicine.
In recent years, the JR highest first preference course is medicine.
Law preference is almost extinct and so, more students choose medicine.
There is no reliable statistics on median ATAR or how many students taking medicine as
graduated students supply these data to school voluntarily.
My rough estimate is -
half of students in NSW and half of students in other states and about 50% of cohort.
This year in UNSW, there is at least 5 more students from preceding years.

那就是每年 差不多70人？

买核潜舰是没战略眼光，以澳洲的军队规模，必须将大部分的军费砸在核潜艇上，势必挤压其他军种的经费，防御力会大减。土澳政客大都上私校，读法律出生，只知道做美国的看门狗，讲政治耍嘴皮在行。

UNSW 20+, WSU 10+

l. Highest percentage of Year 7 admission offer rejection (about 1/3).
Recently, this was reported in a newspaper and I think the school gave an unlikely cause.
I think of this issue when my kid was in Year 7.

When a child has a top selective high school offer and a scholarship from private school offer,
private school is selected.

My kid studied at non-OC, then JR.
At the end of Year 4, most of kid's classmates went to OC.
As a result, my kid had a free happy run in Year 5, 6.
All these OC boys and most girls and other known cases dropped JR offers when they had private school scholarship.

All 7 ATAR 99.95 students last HSC were studying JR in Year 7.

Now, it turns to why it does not matter which school your kid studied in order to get ATAR 99.95.
And why ATAR is the least important factor to get in medicine course.

For most JR students applying medicine course, it should not be a concern on ATAR.
ATAR 99.90+ has advantage on Griffith, Flinders, University of Sydney but there are
more important factors than ATAR.
