几年前我还看过一场John Farman的室外音乐会呢。据说他的嗓音之洪亮可以不用麦克风。

哦，我去找来听听。其实当初我去他的concert之前完全不知道他是谁，同事有事不能去，免费送票，离我家很近的地方，我就去了。去了之后发现很好听。

约翰·威廉斯（John Williams) 生于澳大利亚墨尔本，父亲是英国人，母亲是澳洲华裔，墨尔本律师麦锡祥之女。曾师从吉他大师安德烈斯·塞戈维亚（Andrés Segovia），并曾在伦敦的皇家音乐学院（Royal College of Music）学习钢琴（由于该院没有吉他专业）。毕业后，他得到学校的邀请创立吉他专业，并执教两年。

威廉斯被认为是当代最重要的吉他演奏家之一，演出和录制过大量的古典吉他曲目。他曾与另一位重要的吉他演奏家朱利安·布里姆长期合作吉他二重奏。威廉斯曾委托多名当代作曲家创作吉他协奏曲，例如 Stephen Dodgson, 安德鲁·普列文, Patrick Gowers, Richard Harvey 和 Steve Gray。他也同澳大利亚的作曲家合作创作反映澳大利亚的本土音乐。

威廉斯曾为电影《猎鹿人》演奏了著名的主题曲卡瓦蒂纳（Cavatina）。 威廉斯注重与流行音乐和其它音乐类型的合作与交流。1970年代末，一度与他人合作创建了摇滚乐队“天空”，并灌录了一些古典-摇滚混合风格的音乐。
