Overview:
The controls engineer is responsible for multiple controls projects and will be capable of all phases of a controls project including: concept and research, sales support, estimating, component selection, network design, panel design, AutoCAD layout, purchasing, device troubleshooting, PLC/VLC programming, HMI tagging, on site installation and debug, and after sales support. The controls engineer helps our company meet its mission is to help our customers compete in their markets by providing the best material handling system solutions and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and development of PLC and SCADA systems
•Development of PLC codes and HMI interfaces
•FAT/SAT
•On site work associated with installation, commissioning and trouble shooting of control systems.
•Build relationships with key site operations personnel and external stakeholders
•Develop, implement and manage company wide project controls processes and systems
•Coaching/mentor site personnel and providing onsite project controls support.
Experience:
•Demonstrated a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Control Systems Engineer
•Relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
•Extensive PLC and SCADA experience
•Commissioning, Servicing Experience
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•30-35% travel would be required
