If you’re eligible, your employer has to pay 9% super contributions for you. You’re generally entitled to super if:
you’re between 18 and 69 years old (inclusive)
you’re paid $450 or more (before tax) per month
Super is paid on top of the minimum wages for your job, and is paid to full-time, part-time and casual employees as well as some contractors. The 9% compulsory super contribution is generally enforced by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
如果雇主没有为你交Super,你该怎么做呢?
My employer isn’t paying my super? What can I do?
Step 1 - know your rights
It’s important that you understand your rights so that you can be fully informed when you speak to your employer. You should check your employment contract and the award that applies and read the super clause. You should also check if there is an agreement that applies and check it to see if there are any specific rights.

Step 2 - talk to your employer
Mistakes happen, and we generally find that employers want to fix them quickly. If you’re found an issue with your pay, including if you think you haven’t been receiving your super, talk to your employer first. You can ask them:
how often they’re paying your super
which fund their paying your super into
how much they’re paying
Information about your super should also be included on your payslip.
Step 3 - check your statement
Check the annual statement from your super fund. This should show you how much your employer has paid on your behalf during the past financial year. You can also contact your fund for up to date information.
Step 4 - lodge a complaint
If you’re covered by an award or agreement that has specific super rights, you should contact us and we’ll help you figure out the best way to resolve the issue. Find out more in the Complaints section.
If you don’t have a contract or you’re not covered by an award or agreement, or your contract, award or agreement just provides the minimum 9% super guarantee, visit the ATOs unpaid super page or call the ATO on 13 10 20. |
