In the role you will be responsible for coding in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX frameworks and build web C# .NET interfaces. These frameworks must be cross browser, performant, accessible, secure and capable of scaling out and handling enormous amounts of web traffic.
Your key duties will include:
Producing Frameworks/Harness code
o Produce, review and document the highest quality HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX code.
Solving Problems
o Interest in and capacity to recognise technical problems and to solve them.
Team Interaction
o Ability to lead or work well in teams - to proactively share knowledge, information, problems and solutions.
o Working with a many different people in other teams - graphics designers, UX specialists, BAs, testers, and developers
Understanding Requirements
o Understanding the underlying business requirements, and capacity to create code that will meet same
o Ability to communicate with team on how technology might improve the business outcomes.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you should have:
5+ years' experience in developing web technologies: .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX techniques:
· Supporting older browser such as IE6 and IE7 with strong ability and experience to solve CSS quirks and performance issues.
o Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 techniques
o Sound understanding of how libraries like jQuery use native browser JavaScript APIs
o Experience with developing websites optimised for mobile device
o Experience with developing back end services
· 2+ years of commercial experience crafting/developing high profile web sites by volume.
· 1+ years of commercial hands on experience developing for screen readers and assistive technologies (e.g. JAWS)
· The ability to prove you have delivered in previous roles and show a high level of tenacity, resilience, work ethic and initiative
· Expert JavaScript skills including frameworks such a JQuery for rapid prototyping
· Experience with working Javascript in an OOP manner.
If you have any knowledge in these it would be a bonus:
· commercial experience in relational database development, preferably Oracle
· Experience working with ASP.NET MVC 3 Framework
· A strong understanding of software design patterns (MVC / MVP / Factory / Repository).
