Hi Austeps friends.


Wondering if anyone has experience on building video websites? (very much like Youtube style)

Through the flash player to dynamically load in database driven videos via http. all videos are uploaded by the end users and being loaded into the flash player on the fly.

(I know things will be lot easier when Silverlight come out, but for now we need to do it in flash)

I know there are some free and non free applications do the video conversion on the fly. but would be great if someone has such experience and willing to share.

That's exactly what I was looking for. if the project go ahead with freeware I'd go for ffmpeg.
otherwise it's going to be On2 (On2.com) but it cost arms n legs.
