昆州北部边缘妇女33岁的Kylie Phyllis Wallace拒绝送自己患病的婴儿入院，5个月男性婴儿当天死亡。该母亲j今天被判无罪。
案件发生于2007年12月16日，男婴当时患呼吸道感染。母亲Wallace送他到社区的诊所，护士建议转送50分钟车程外的Cooktown医院，母亲没有照办，当天婴儿死去。
凯恩斯高等法院受理此案。法官Griffith指母亲未尽到照顾责任。律师Trevino辩护说，Wallace英语非母语，当天亦有受到自己另外两个幼儿的纠缠，没有意识到危险性。
...Crown prosecutor Roger Griffith said Wallace had failed her duty of care.
"There was only one person making decisions about the child and that was Kylie Wallace," he told the jury.
"There is a line to be drawn between bad parenting, careless parenting, negligent parenting and parenting so negligent as to require punishment by the state of Queensland."
After deliberating for two hours today, a jury found Wallace not guilty.
Outside court, Wallace's lawyer Trish Price said her client was relieved the case was finally over....
