Business Analyst - BPS
Global Services Division – Port Melbourne
ClosingDate: 11th July 2011
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Business Analyst within Business Process Services (BPS). This position will report to Business Analyst Team Leader (BPS) and will be based in Salmon St Port Melbourne.
The purpose of this position is to gather, analyse, communicate and validate detailed business data and make recommendations for the design of customer aligned solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals.
You will be accountable for:
• Gathering a comprehensive data set within a customer environment where documentation and analysis may not be practiced.
• Conducting interviews with end-users and others during a potentially sensitive time
• Translating the data gathered into a meaningful and accurate picture of a current state which expose deficiencies and maps to a solution
• Performing comprehensive data analysis within time constraints
• Identifying and assessing a risk factor to poorly quantified or anecdotal; data
• Building an innovative solution which is superior within a competitive situation
The successful applicant will have/be:
• 2 years experience as a Business Analyst
• Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and working experience in different phases of the SDLC
• Proficient in MS Visio or other modeling tools
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
