I think it depends on what you expect from them, my hobby and I all experience their service. so I hope my comments will help in some stage.
my husband’s experience with them was really nice. we did the CV/Cover letter by ourselves and at that moment he got some interviews. So we only use part of their service for the interview practice. one the consultant (forgot the name but working in city in an accounting firm for IT role) tailored very good practice for him, every time before interview they would make an appointment to go through all the possible questions and answers. Since then he passes almost every interview incl computershare! And he got current position by passing 4 round interviews.
While I didn’t benefit so much compared with him, and my current position has nothing to do with Gradsolutions, but I do find some information are very good. (Actually I also enrolled in some career program incl uniMelb’s).
I’m not saying something good for them, but job hunting is a task for ourselves. Don’t expect they can really bring you some good opportunities, maybe someone may have (it is said one of my friend’s friend got a Dutch bank position through their referral), but it would be very rear. One of my other friend referred by me to Gradsolutios also got a financial position after almost two year’s job hunting.
How much you can benefit depends on what you expect and how you communicate with these guys. But all above happened two years ago I’m not sure if situation changed, and haven’t contact with these guys for 1.5 years. I wrote just for your consideration.
If you have no idea of the interview process and seeking some advise, it may help and give you some confidence, but if you are looking for some opportunities, this may not be an effective way.
It’s just a tool to get yourself well prepared, the key thing is always yourself!
Good luck! |
