EPPING man 33-year-old Huan Sun did not appear in Central Local Court today for the alleged murder of his wife Ling Mao.
The prosecution asked that the case be deferred until October 29, when more forensic evidence and telephone records would be available.
A number of witnesses are also yet to make statements.
The date for the hearing has been set for November 17.
Eastwood police and detectives from the Homicide Squad arrested Mr Sun at 1.15am on August 12 after Ms Mao’s dismembered lower leg was discovered by a dog in bushland near Pheasants Nest, south of Campbelltown, on Sunday, August 9.
Mr Sun had reported his wife missing on Thursday, August 6, to Eastwood police - a week after she went missing.
Mr Sun remains in custody and has been refused bail. |
