We recently advised you that TPG has completed the installation of your ADSL2+ with Home Phone bundle service.
However, we’ve detected that additional cabling work is required at your premises to make the service work in your unit.
What does this mean?
We’ve tested that your service is installed and working at the telephone switchboard of your building (called the Main Distribution Frame or “MDF”) which is TPG’s network boundary point where we’re responsible for your service.
The cabling work required is called “jumpering” and uses existing cabling to connect your service from the MDF to the telephone socket in your unit, so you can use the service. The possibility of additional cabling work was explained during your sign-up. For more information, please visit https://www.tpg.com.au/support/faqs.php#3.6.
You may choose one of these two options:
Have TPG arrange a qualified technician to do the cabling work for you for a cost of $59.99, charged to your TPG account.
Hire your own licensed technician to do the cabling (ask them to connect MDF details VX 1MDF's location: main entrance Vertical details: VA 4 - tagged Accessible: yes to your unit)
To request for option 1 or if you have any questions, please reply to this email.
Yours sincerely,
TPG
公寓的墙上已经有电话插孔,说明从MDF总盒已经有电话线联通至家里,TPG说还要再装一个Cable是否合理还是另有目的.....再说之前用过不同公司相同的网络也没有这回事. |
