Provisioning Specialist – North Sydney, AU

We are looking for an experienced Provisioning Specialist to join our team in North Sydney. You will work closely with sales, customer support and senior management to ensure maximum provisioning efficiency (internal and external), and optimization of on-hand inventory. You will be responsible for light hardware assembly, software installations, and QA of our PBX and Connect Systems. You will also be required to process and fulfill Local number porting requests.
The ideal candidate will wear multiple hats that have experience creating RMA orders, scheduling and shipping materials, resolving outstanding order issues, communicating with customers regarding any outstanding materials, processing LNP requests as well as various other responsibilities. If you excel in a fast-paced environment, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. This position will work out of our North Sydney office.
Responsibilities:
- Provision servers from hardware components
- QA hardware and software
- Troubleshoot returned hardware
- Check inventory and stocking
- Local Number Porting
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations
- Access, view, and update the appropriate computer systems to resolve RMA, inventory, and part order issues
- Maintain the integrity of the inventory so that all parts are properly accounted for in the appropriate systems
Preferred skills and Experience:
- Two plus years logistics and provisioning experience in the high-tech industry
- Experience with RMA transactions and process handling (Customer and Vendor returns)
- Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving preferred
- Refurbishment quality and control a plus
- Computer repair and service / computer support / light assembly
- Prior experience and working knowledge of NetSuite or other commercial logistics/inventory/order management application
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting and software configuration skills
- Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping, and process
- Able to lift and move inventory (approx 20kgs.)
- Excellent customer service skills, strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication ability
Preference will be given for the following additional skills:
- Open source IP-PBX applications such as PBXtra, trixBox, Asterisk
- Telephony configuration and service provisioning (T1, PRI, Analog cards)
- IP based handset configuration (Cisco, Polycom, Aastra, etc.)
