Barking the Wrong Tree

含义：怪错人。这是个不太友好的口气 - 虽然老外不吃狗，但当把人比作狗的时候，绝对也是贬义的，千万别上他们的当，以为他们真的当狗是man's best friend!

例句：

A: Without you jumping the gun with the layoff announcement, we wouldn't have had the unions putting up such a show today!

B: A, you're barking the wrong tree. Your boss, Jerry Young, announced it in his personal blog 2 days ago and we were forced to announce officially yesterday when we found it out.
