City of Monash Film Series: Miss Representation

Following the film, there will be a Q and A session featuring:
Clementine Ford, writer, speaker and feminist thinker, and
Dr Gael Jennings, an award winning national TV and radio broadcaster.
Miss Representation’ exposes how mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. The film challenges the media’s limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.
* 'Miss Representation' has not been classified in Australia. 'Miss Representation' may be appropriate for ages 15+. This film contains some coarse language and adult themes.
