SAP HR/Payroll Tester
是什么工作啊，是IT里面的TESTING么还是需要很多ACCOUNTING/PAYROLL方面的DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE？
一般的TEST ANALYST 能做这个工作么？

SAP没用过，以前公司是用peoplesoft做payroll的，我全程参与了，这个test 是不是就是Parallel test呀，就是在 go live之前选取一定的员工样本，用过去的数据在新的系统里走一遍，然后做一个比对啊？
tester应该不难，一般的payroll specialist 培训一下应该就能胜任。
比较值钱的应该是SAP Payroll consultant吧？

SAP的Tester一般都是根据系统的流程和各种Scenarios做Script的测试.在一个模拟的环境里,根据公司里各种各样的流程和Case做一定量的测试.确保系统运行良好,可以按照设计的流程得出结果.一般如果是Contractor的测试分析师的话,都是直接找Process Lead,然后Process Lead会根据已经设置的需要测试的部分列出一个List,接着按照要求找终端用户了解具体如何做日常工作,最后测试两者的结果是否吻合和运行好.

In SAP project, testers are doing functionalities test step-by-step following the test script, most of them are in business functional area, like FI/CO, Logistics, HR, and etc.
And the test scripts tell tester - what transaction to run, what data to input, and most important is to check whether the output is the expected result, if yes, mark 'PASSED', otherwise, 'FAILED' then pass to the functional or development consultant to fix the issues, then do it again when issues are fixed......
That is what to do for a TESTER, quite boring, but good chance to get into SAP area as a start...

对的。这个tester应该是functional side的。主要是做UAT和PVT testing, 也就是根据testing plan test 每个testing scenario。 对fail的item 需要engage technical side的人fix issue. 这种职位一般需要有HR Payroll Background, 同时system又有一定的了解和应用， 因为设计到许多对functional requirement 的了解。楼主的这个职位应该是parramatta 的一间公司吧？
