When a person enters the field of accounting or consultancy, he most probably carries a dream within; it is the dream of being an integral part of the most successful name that belongs to this genre, Big 4. There are many people who dream about it, but there are very few who get their dreams transformed into reality by successfully nailing their Big 4 interview. Now, what do people who ace their Big 4 interviews have that many unsuccessful interview candidates don’t? There may be factors like talent, education, background, experience, and a little sprinkle of good luck that lead them to fulfillment of their dreams. In addition to the aforementioned qualities, there are definitely other tricks and tips that successful interview candidates who get the offer follow.

Be prepared and do your homework before the day of the interview. Get as much information about the firm, its objectives, current related events, achievements, and challenges. Also, if you can, find out as much as you can about the interviewer to strike up relevant conversations.

Turn up a little earlier for the interview. You will want to arrive about 15 minutes early. Do not come too early. Be prepared to talk to a “greeter” beforehand. Be congenial and remember their name to send them a thank you letter as well when the interview is over.
