Role and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain our core products in Java.
Assist internal customer delivery and operations teams with knowledge and technical development r
Contribute to collective team knowledge by researching new technologies related to financial services and new client applications.
Work closely with business analysts and other members of the team to analyse and refine requirements for new features and design efficient solutions.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Required Experience and Qualifications
At least 2 years experience in a software development.
Strong academic record with a computer science related degree.
Strong object-oriented design knowledge and skills.
Proven experience in Java software development.
Experience with and an attitude towards quality software development principles.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Experience with as many of these technologies as possible: Swing, Tomcat, Spring, Velocity, JUnit, JNDI, XML, HTML/CSS, JMX, Linux
Beneficial Experience and Knowledge
Capital Markets domain knowledge.
A secondary degree relating to the finance industry.
Experience with C++ and scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
Agile design methodology experience. |
