Dandenong Thunder to play Chinese Super League club
Comments (0)Share DANDENONG Thunder has snared a premier friendly match against Chinese Super League club Hangzhou Nabel Greentown FC at George Andrews Reserve on February 12 at 6pm.
Greentown is visiting Australia as part of its Asian Champions League preparations and the Thunder is excited about hosting the highly regarded Chinese club which includes former A-League player Adam Griffiths, "Everyone at the club is delighted and looking forward to the game immensely, Dandenong Marketing Manager Zini Maliku said before adding, it's a great opportunity for our players to play against some of the best in Asia and this game is not only a great boost for the club, but also for the local Dandenong community which is able to attract a team of the caliber of Hangzhou Nabel Greentown FC."
Greentown has drawn in the tough Group F of the ACL which includes Korean club FC Seoul and Japanese club Nagoya Grampus.
The match will cap-off the Thunder’s preseason before their first Victorian Premier League match away to the Melbourne Knights on February 20.
