Fire causes half million dollar damage

It took just 20 minutes to extinguish, but a fire in an administrative building in Melbourne's west caused half a million dollars damage.
The fire in the building used by Williamstown Crane Hire in Dohertys Road, Laverton North broke out just after 2.30am this morning and caused a temporary shut down of a nearby steel mill because of thick, acrid smoke.
The blaze destroyed computers and office equipment and fire crews wore breathing apparatus to protect them not only from the smoke, but also the likelihood that asbestos had been used in the construction of the building.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

墨尔本西区今天凌晨发生火灾。大火虽然只用了20分钟就被扑灭但仍然造成了将近五十万元的损失。
大火发生在凌晨两点三十分，地点位于Laverton North的Dohertys Road的一幢建筑中，该建筑是Williamstown起重机租赁公司的办公大楼。由于大火所引发的具有刺激性气味的浓烟导致附近一家钢铁厂临时关闭。
大火烧毁了一些计算机和办公设备。由于大火产生了大量浓烟，并且该建筑中有可能使用了石棉，消防员不得不带着呼吸面罩来进行灭火。
现在还不知道起火原因。
