FED up with fruitless months searching for a job via employment agencies, three mates hatched a plan to sell themselves in a very public way.
After two days standing beside a busy road in the morning peak with signs asking for work, the trio have had more job offers than they had in three months through Centrelink.
"It is a catch-22," brainchild Adam Foxwell said. "You can't get a job without experience and you can't get experience without a job."
Desperate to find a part-time job to help put himself through a commerce degree at Newcastle University, the 19-year-old was complaining into a beer with mates Stephen Graham and Liam Sharp when inspiration struck.
Smartly dressed in formal suits and borrowed ties, their approach caught attention from passing motorists.
They began picketing the Central Coast Highway at West Gosford on Tuesday and by yesterday were doing live crosses to Sea FM's morning radio show.

"The response has been overwhelming," Mr Graham said.
"On the first day we had six or seven legitimate job offers and today we've had that and more."
The 19-year-old dreams of landing a real estate traineeship.
Meanwhile it has emerged that the Navy has spent $53,000 on a photo shoot of a "ship" made from 100 sailors in a desperate bid to attract more recruits.
