Some people deem genetically modified (GM) crops as Pandora’s Box.  Any researches on GM crops or usages of GM crops will bring unpredictable disasters to human beings and the mother earth.  However I don’t agree with those people.  I think we should keep researching on GM crops, and should plant and consume GM crops on a large scale after thorough studies have been done.  

GM crops will bring us a revolution of agriculture.  GM crops can produce a higher yield than normal plants.  It can help some countries to get out of poverty.  At least, peoples of those countries may have more food than before.  Some GM crops are pest resistant.  It can reduce the usage of chemical pesticide so that agricultural pollution can be contained to some extent.  The modified genes can enrich some particular nutrients, for example vitamins, in vegetables, crops, and fruits as well.  The modified genes even can retard fruit softening after harvesting.  

Once scientists have done the thorough researches and tests, GM crops shall server the public as other technologies.  The advance of human is based on the advance of the technologies.  When the industry robots are introduced into the manufactories, many workers were taking to the street to demonstrate because they were afraid that their jobs would be replaced by robots.  On the contrary, no ones treat those industry robots as monsters today.  Workers are liberated from the dangerous jobs.  The working conditions of workers are improved due to the implementations of industry robots.  GM crops will win their positions in history.  Of course, it is on the premise that GM crops are not stifled in their cradles.
