One more question, what about deshedding?
I just bought a Furminator deshedding brush and used it twice on my little Yuki who is a Japanese Spitz, because she is dropping hairs insanely. I understand this is a natural process that occurs to nearly all dogs so I wish this could facilitate the process.... It clearly reduced the volume of her hair but I can't tell if it's the inner coat or outer....now i start to worry if I "clipped" too much of her outer coast which will cause sun burnt?!

hon, usually Japanese spitzs only need to be brushed once a week. As you mentioned, Yuki is now shedding. please note that the shedding will usually only last one week and the dead hair is easily brushed out. So just brush Yuki daily to help them remove the dead hair, however please do not brush or clip them even it's summer time now.   
Don't worry if you are only brushing Yuki's dead hair off...as that's not defiend as "clip"

And also FYI, for both samoyed and Japanese spitz, and all other doggies with double coats....remember don't shave them or clip them during summer time, they have their own ways to deal with the heat.  Please make sure you have prepared enough fresh water for your doggies, and also make sure you have a shady area in your place for them to lie around.  Water and shady area are the two most important things for doggies to deal with the summer heat.

one of my friends even prepares ice cubes for his samoyed during summer time, so when he leaves home, he will just give his samoyed a big ice cube for the samoyed to play with

Ice cube is a good idea and I did think about it (recommended by Little COCO's mom). But I am slightly worried that it may frostbite Yuki's little tongue (me being such a worrying mom(monkey13) (monkey13) ). Yuki is pretty much an indoor dog, never left outside alone and her room is the laundry which is connected to the kitchen and a power room both of which are tile flooring, so hopefully is cool enough.
I hope deshedding is trimming not "clipping", will keep brush her hair daily to help. (monkey38)

don't worry too much...sometimes you will be amazed how strong and independent our little kids are
wish Yuki can spend the summer happily!!

anyway, her name is Yuki so i think she can cool herself down...lol
