New rules for moving around your local government area (LGA)
There are new rules to how far you can travel to buy food and essential goods and services, as well as for exercising.
Greater Sydney: You can travel up to 5kms from your home, even if it takes you outside your LGA. You can also travel anywhere within your LGA. Do not enter an LGA of concern. See map to calculate your 5km radius.
LGAs of concern: You must stay within 5kms of your home and you cannot travel outside your local government area. See map to calculate your 5km radius.
Regional NSW: You can travel up to 5kms from your home, even if it takes you outside your LGA. You can also travel anywhere within your LGA. If you need to buy essential goods and services that are not available locally, you may travel beyond your LGA or further than 5kms.

Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour
Local government areas (LGAs) of concern – including Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Strathfield and some suburbs of Penrith
Regional NSW including border communities.
