Powerark Solar is one of the top 5 solar distributors in Australia. Our market covers the entire country and parts of other South East Asian. We are headquartered in Sydney with four other branches across 4 states (WA, VIC, QLD, SA). Our main business to distribute a range of products from Panels to electrical components for our customers in residential and commercial sector.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, payroll questions, leave and legislation.
• Cross check all time sheets nationally.
• End-to-end recruitment and on-boarding of new staff nationally from executing talent acquisition strategies to HR administration including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, reference checks and following up on candidates.
• Draft and updating position descriptions and policies as required.
• Talent pool for future talent as well as maintain our talent pool database.
• Prepare new starter packs, contracts of employment and all pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare new staff by New Employee Orientation program.
• Provide advice and training to Managers on recruitment strategies.
• Organise, advise, monitor, implement the process of probation, promotion, demotion, and termination.
• Analyse and interpret employment legislation, collectives, awards and determining pay differentials for shiftwork, overtime, terminations, back-pays and other entitlements.
• Act as a communication conduit between staff and management.
• Employee Relations support and advice, “hire and fire” legal issues consultation.
• Plan and organize company year-end party and team building activities.
• Assist with VISA application for managers.
• Office management.
• General administration as requested by management.
Essential Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in working in a fast paced and complex environment.
• Drive and ambition to improve quality HR services.
• Ability to deal with different personalities.
• Knowledge of employment legislation.
• A self-starter with a thirst for knowledge.
• Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
