AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars is a list of the top 50 greatest screen legends in American film history, which included 25 male and 25 female stars. This video, commemorating the 25 greatest actresses in the history of American cinema, remembers their shear place in the history of motion pictures during Hollywood's "Golden Age".
Of the 25 actresses on the list, only 3 are alive today: Shirley Temple (85), Lauren Bacall (88) and Sophia Loren (78).
