Information note
From 1 August 2016, paper tickets are no longer sold or accepted.
You will need an Opal card, an Opal single trip ticket or an Opal single bus ticket to travel on public transport in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter, Illawarra and Southern Highlands.
The following information refers to old paper tickets that were inserted into automatic ticket gates at train stations or ferry wharves or ticket validation machines on buses (magnetic stripe tickets).
Paper ticket refunds are no longer accepted after 30 October 2016.
If you have already sent a refund application, please note that Transport for NSW has received a high volume of refund requests and it may take longer than usual to receive your refund.
Please note: Refunds are provided at the discretion of the service provider. There is no obligation to refund lost, stolen or mislaid tickets. |
