Generally speaking, at the end of interview you should ask or the interviewer (employer) would advise when you can expect to hear from them or what's the next step of consideration.
From my experiences (3 interviews '2 face to face, 1 via phone) with agents--No luck; 2 face to face interviews with employer--1 of them offered me the position next day morning, another one never got back to me and after contacting agent 3 days later I was told being ruled out; 2 phone interviews with employers, 2 offers).
How soon you would be informed of the interview outcome really depends on what position you are applying for and the numbers of candidates on employer's short list. If I were you, I would follow up with either agent or employer 2-3 days later. Reason No.1 it shows that you are keen on this position, No.2 you deserve to know the outcome.
Another tip is that after you are offered for the job, try not to accept the offer straight away because this is when you have the ultimate power to negotiate your offer and you would not be surprised if you make a few thousands dollars in a minute or via an email. |
