报名2017年7年级The Scots College,学校说名额已满, 还有必要申请吗?

目前Waitlist已经有十五个左右的学生,我们还有必要申请吗? 他们是根据报名先后顺序给OFFER,还是根据孩子学习成绩面试效果选人？

下面是学校的邮件回复:

Note:  The College is now fully subscribed in Year 7, 2017 (Day Student) with a number of families on the waitlist however we do expect to experience attrition.  Unfortunately, whilst the College does its best to accommodate enrolment requests, it is unable to guarantee a position to any student prior to completion of the enrolment process.  

The College offers 45 places to new day boy students in Year 7. After making our first round offers, the College has approximately 60 families that have gone through the Year 7 2017 enrolment process and are hopeful of attrition.

It is a condition of the College that all students seeking entry into the Senior School undertake a pre-enrolment assessment followed by an interview. It is only after this process has taken place that an offer, if applicable, could be made.  The interview with the Head of Middle Years is integral to the enrolment process as positions at the College are not solely reliant on vacancy alone , a number of criteria are taken into consideration before an offer can be made. I do stress that we are not a selective school and the pre-enrolment test is based on age and the current year of study of the applicant.

按照报名顺序给，除非你有coonection，比如old boys。
至于是否等，没人可以给你答案。几百元买多个选择

还是先报上名吧。今年我儿子没有拿到grammar的offer，再想报Scott时，回复说waiting list都满了。现在华人想到私校的越来越多，这些学校有大概的招收比例的。
