Job description

The role
The Digital Optimisation Analyst - Insurance role is accountable for delivering the Conversion Rate Optimisation & Online Sales aspects of Project Comet which is the transition of Westpac’s General Insurance products to Allianz.

The Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) aspect firstly includes discovering & mapping the core current Insurance journeys across all CBS (Customer & Business Services) brands (Westpac, St. George, Bank SA, and Bank of Melbourne) within the Adobe Analytics toolset. Secondly it’s about identifying & prioritising issues and opportunities which can be addressed in these insurance journeys in the short term as well as part of the deployment of Project Comet in October 2015. Working with the broader business, Production, Customer Experience & Design teams deliver the feasible short term changes while considering SEO best practices as well as our mobile device based environments.

For the Project Comet aspect, this role will act as the day to day business, or digital sales, owner for the wider project team. This includes addressing issues & opportunities identified through the CRO work stream as part of the Project Comet on-website scope. This role will discover & completely map the new customer journeys across the new Allianz origination forms. Outside of the customer journey, as the Portfolio Manager for digital sales, this role will engage the various Analytics & Reporting teams within Westpac & Allianz and the various Project Managers to discover & negotiate Westpac’s web analytics & other media tracking technologies within the quote & application forms.

The CRO & Project Comet initiatives are primarily focused on achieving revenue targets across all CBS brands for all products under the Insurance Category within the broader Wealth portfolio.
The Portfolio Manager will also be responsible for building relationships and partnerships across the wider business within and outside CBS, notably with Product, Marketing, and Technology teams. The role will proactively and confidently influence change at senior levels in the organisation, including “Heads of“ and “Senior Managers“ to drive out the objective of increasing sales across digital channels. Finally, this role will manage relationships with external partners to develop new solutions and create innovative customer value propositions.

What you need to succeed
Essential
3 years in sales, marketing or product roles
3 years experience in digital roles
Ownership of revenue and sales targets
Proven track record of delivering conversion and customer experience improvements in product sales
Ability to justify commercial impacts using qualitative and quantitative data points
Experience in managing business interfaces between digital channels and contact centres


Desirable
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, to contribute and create effective teamwork in a constantly changing environment
Ability to present across the organisation both verbally and in various written formats
