的确有点偷偷地,除了国内的报道,找了好久才发现官方消息。
The federal government has quietly suspended applications for the Significant Investor Visa more than two months ahead of a planned shake-up, sparking concerns some wealthy offshore investors will view the decision as part of a crackdown on foreign investment.

Is the Significant Investor visa programme being shut down?
No. The Significant Investor visa (SIV) programme will continue. We are temporarily suspending all new nominations of SIV Expressions of Interest from 24 April 2015 until 30 June 2015. This means that nobody will be able to be nominated for a Significant Investor visa until 1 July 2015, when the programme reopens.
There are no plans to shut down the SIV programme, or cap the number of people who can be granted a Significant Investor visa. People who have already been invited to apply before the temporary suspension are still eligible to make a visa applications within the timeframe specified on the invitation.
The Australian Government has previously announced that it would expand the investment migration programme by creating a Premium Investor visa (PIV) that will co-exist with SIV and will offer a faster path to residency in return for a higher investment into complying investments.
