海外特殊“出差”退税问题最后跟贴：我遇到个退税问题：我是contractor，在一家跨国公司工作，base在悉尼，在老板分派给我的工作中，有些是涉及北京的，我主动要求在北京家里办公，便于和北京的同事协调工作，就这样，今年曾三次在北京家里办公(吃住在家里，办澳洲、北京的日常业务)，总共4个月。我没有走公司正规的出差流程，我的evidence只有机票和老板的email，批准我work from home in Beijing以及具体时间段，没写任何理由，我返中国的机票都是自己负担的，公司没负担我任何差旅费用，也没给我任何补助(allowance )，我准备通过“D2-Work related travel expenses”做抵税。我的问题是，能否通过travel expense的形式做些抵税，见这个URL： http://law.ato.gov.au/atolaw/vie ... 00721/NAT/ATO/00001 中国属于Cost Group 4(见Schedule 1里的Table 1)，然后再从“Table 2: Reasonable amounts by cost groups”里根据我的工资水平，查到适合我的Reasonable amounts是Meals $160, Incidentals $45, 总共是$205/天！问题：我能否把$205填入“D2-Work related travel expenses”做抵税？(假定我这样“出差”的天数总共3次，每次5天) 当然，严格的说，这样的出差有些牵强，但我的确是在异地解决当地的工作问题，想打个擦边球，不知道是否可行。最后发表：guigua	guigua 2008-9-16 23:22	01528	guigua 2008-9-16 23:22

work related depreciating asset 退税问题最后跟贴：If you have receipt, you can calculate the amount of the depreciation claimed previously. 急问关于报税问题最后跟贴：第一个问题一般是NO. 除非你Spouse arrived in Australia during the financial year (and commenced to be a resident for tax purposes), or your Spouse left Australia and ceased to be a resident for tax puroses. 关于tax return 里baby bonus项目最后跟贴：Eligibility for Baby Bonus Baby Bonus is payable to: A parent of a baby if the parent meets all other eligibility criteria at any time within 13 weeks of the baby's birth; or A parent of a stillborn baby if the parent would have met all the other criteria if the baby had not been stillborn; or An adoptive parent if the child is adopted under two years of age and in the case of overseas adoption, enter Australia before turning two years of age; or A claimant who is entrusted with the care of a newborn baby if the claimant meets all other eligibility criteria within 13 weeks of the baby's birth and if the claimant is likely to continue to have care of the child for no less than 13 weeks; or A claimant who, before a baby is 26 weeks of age, has the baby entrusted to their care because the claimant will be adopting the baby, provided the claimant meets all other eligibility criteria within 13 weeks of the baby coming into the care of the claimant. The other eligibility criteria for Baby Bonus are generally that: the claimant and the baby must meet Australian residency requirements the claimant must be legally responsible, either alone or with another adult, for the day-to-day care, welfare and development of the baby(); and the claimant must satisfy tax file number requirements); and the claimant must lodge an effective claim within 26 weeks of the baby's birth or, in the case of adoption in Australia, within 26 weeks of the baby coming into the adopting parents' care. In the case of overseas adoption, the claimant must lodge an effective claim within 26 weeks of the child arriving in Australia where the child's arrival is part of the adoption process, or within 26 weeks of the child coming into the adopting parents' care where the child does not arrive in Australia as part of the adoption process. Parents are required to formally register the birth of their child as a condition of receiving the Baby Bonusfor births on or after 1 July 2007.
