墨尔本的童鞋家长们，有谁的孩子是在peninsula school/toorak college的吗？

peninsula school 和 toorak college是在mornington/mt eliza附近的两所私校，有在那里念书的童鞋吗？

可以谈一下学校的academic，extracurricular activities和校风discipline还有家长们交流，是怎样的家庭和学校结构？

如果住在附近，不去那两所，大家都是去哪里送孩子念书去呢？

我知道几个在 toorak college 的，都是住校的。

读私校而且住校，肯定是有钱人家。

那就不是住在附近的人家送去念书的了。

toorak的教育如何呢？
看校舍很有年代了，很喜欢。

听说最近开始co－ed了，之前一直是分开正好一男校一女校。

有点想去open day，但是我们孩子都还没有呢，只是为了将来长远，settle down打算。

有的人为了学校买房子搬家，有的人为了搬家研究学校。。。

有。我家孩子在 Peninsula. 当初在和HAILBURY这两个学校做选择的时候，孩子爸爸最后决定选择PENINSULA。 现在孩子非常喜欢。

这个附近还有一个比较好的私校， WOODLEIGH也非常不错。单看成绩比PENINSULA和TOORAK更好。

这几个学校中，PENINSULA历史最悠久，规模最大，学生最多，各种设施也是相对最好的。各种体育和课外活动相对选择也多一些。其中包括我儿子最喜欢的高尔夫训练，直升飞机培训等。

这边学校以本地西人为主（主要是英国和美国的移民居多），华人在学校就是个点缀，整个学校大概就那么几十个华人，而且好多还是10年级过来的中国交换生。

大部分家长素质都非常不错，也不乏非常有钱的大富人家，相对而言，学生的构成没有那么复杂。可以到学校去参观了解。也可以联系我，我主动自愿为这个学校做宣传。

只是为了relocation做调查。
请问你的孩子是住校还是走读，学风如何，攀比bully等。
父母的职业，是中产为主还是？
放假的时候孩子的同学住在附近一起玩耍吗？

还有小学，kunyung，mt eliza可以点评一下吗？

请问你家孩子是从小学读的吗？我孩子今年2岁，在考虑要不要给他报私校ELC，去Woodleigh参观了，觉得挺好，但是学校挺小的，一个年级一个班20个人。另外还想问一下如果读私校是不是不开好车会被嘲笑啊？

我听我邻居local说mt eliza north小学和frankston south有一所小学挺好，这是公立的哈，两所学校都有校区的

没有frankston south primary，有一个叫st augustine's primary 是catholic，是这个吗？

看了有很多primary school，不少是有zone的。
主要是想孩子去penninsula/toorak 不知道这两个学校的feeding primary school是哪家。

本身学校从三岁ELC到12年级都有啊，toorak 好像从Y5开始变女校哦

My daughter is in Toorack and she is loving it! very happy!. We are very happy with the school too. We like the value and culture of the school. But not many Asian in the school especially in the lower grade. My daughter used to be the only one in the whole year level. Now there are two of them, but the other girl is going to move school next year, so she might be the only one again. She is enjoying every minute of her school life. She is happier at school than at home.

Toorack's was N0. 38, Woodleigh 48, Penisula 49 for 2013 as per better education web site.

Toorack is co ed from ELC to year 4, girls only school from year 5 to 12. They celebrated their 140 anniversary this year. A lot of the girls from North Mt Eliza school ( they have a waiting list, very popular amount the locals.)  As for Frankston, Derinya has got a very good reputation. Because it is a private school, there is no such thing as feeding school. st augustine's primary  is a Catholic school and is very good too.
Toorack is offering more scholarship for next year at the moment. Because there is not many Asians around this area so it is reletively easy to get the schollarship.
The school is very inclusive, no one is left out any time. The girls are polite and confident. They have good music and sport program. The majority of the kids are western kids but they still manage to have good VCE result every year.
