Thanks for all your comments. I am going to type in English as I found it much faster when using ipad.
First, we are not doing exams because our teacher doesn't like the AMEB/ABRSM system so she's doesn't prepare any of her student for exams.
I think my issue is more on the amount of time required practicing per day. I felt 45 min is a bit long.
My daughter is the only Asian in her class and indeed she is the only one who learns piano so her most common complain is that's none of her friends need to spend time practising. Only 1 other girl just started on lessons.
Of course for those who pursue exam grades, maybe 45 min is essential. However, for myself, I just want my daughter to be able to play music and enjoy playing it. I don't want to kill her interest in playing.
For the records, my daughter can play that piece. She started playing similar songs both hands together from last year too. Her teacher actually said this piece is more difficult than it looks as one's natural tendency is for right hand to play legato but left hand needs to play in marching style (non legato). Also, both hands do not move in an intuitive way esp for little children that's why I posted it here to see if you agree. If you simply look at it, it does not seem difficult (for a child).
Thanks again for the feedback!
