We are a foreign bank operating in Australia. We are expanding our Risk & Compliance department and are looking to recruit an individual to join our small team in Sydney CBD.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Junior Risk & Compliance Officer you will assist the Risk & Compliance Manager in the following tasks:
Develop and review all risk & compliance related policies and procedures
Liaise and report to relevant authorities such as APRA, ASIC and AUSTRAC
Monitor and review all risk & compliance programs at the bank
Co-ordinate with internal/external auditors
Attend risk committee meetings and compile minutes of meetings
Monitor changes to legal and regulatory compliance requirements related to the banking industry and develop internal policies to implement any new requirements.
Skill and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate you would need to have the following attributes:
A graduate in law and/or finance/commerce
Working experience in the banking industry is a plus, however, is not necessary as full training will be provided.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Mandarin
Attention to details and problem solving skills
